The Role:
We are seeking a Senior Research Engineer to join our office in Sofia. Using your experience as a software engineer, you will design, develop and maintain a robust architecture for the collection and analysis of large neurological datasets, and for the training of AI models on this data. You will contribute to open-ended research and can expect to be co-author on leading journal publications.
 
Responsibilities:

• Build tools and abstractions to support a rapid pace of research experimentation, including the end-to-end reproduction of papers from the neuroscience literature.

• Implement and analyse research experiments, both quickly in toy scenarios and for productising.

• Build data pipelines.

• Develop drivers that interface with our brain scanning equipment in real time.
   

About You:
We don’t hold any of these requirements as hard blockers, and you should reach out if you are excited - even if you don’t fit all of these.

• Proven ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient Python, likely from having worked in industry for 2+ years.

• Experience with a high performance language such as CUDA, C, or C++.

• Familiarity with PyTorch is an advantage, but we do not expect experience on neurological datasets.

• Outstanding achievement in anything: competitive programming, competitive gaming, art, sports, …
   

You will shape our technical direction from day one.

We are flexible concerning working from home and exact hours, but will expect presence at the office at least 3-4 days a week.
